Durrr v Antonious - anyone for a side bet?

Tom "durrrr" Dwan is facing Patrik Antonius in the first round of the Durrrr Challenge. Durrr is giving 3 to 1 and I'm happy to give the same odds to any takers as I really think that Durrrr will beat all-comers. For some reason, I think that Ivey is the only one capable of finding a new A-game to counter Durrr's strategies.

50k hands of 4-tabling 200/400 PLO Heads-up could break anyone. If you'd like to keep up to date with progress, check out the Graph updated every 250 hands (http://www.highstakesdb.com/challenge/durrrr-vs-antonius.aspx). Durrrr dipped initially but has been ahead pretty much since then.

When you see the size of the pots, it's amazing that there has been bigger swings yet. I particularly liked the finesse in this one ... http://www.highstakesdb.com/view-hand-history.aspx?GameID=294943.

Check out this hand from HSP. Dwan vs Eastgate vs Greenstein. It's truly awesome.

Nice clip ... and he even won the petty cash side bet after the hand.

On the 2+2 pokercast, they reckoned that Peter Eastgate was an absolute fish out of water. If he continues like that his WSOP winnings won't last long.

I know that he has sponsorship and was a massively winning online cash player before, but he can't be rolled for that action.

Barry on the other hand knows that there will be many better spots to get his money in. Go PokerRoad.

IMO the sidebet is the best part of the clip. Dwan knew exactly what Eastgate and Barry held. He initially feigned this lame "I had it" line, but then makes it clear that Eastgate folded the best hand. I think Negreanu knew that Dwan was bluffing too.

I think there is probably value in your offer of a sidebet though, because Dwan does not need to be a 3-1 favourite to still expect a profit overall (counting the poker profit).

The way I think of it is this: Dwan is offering $10 per hand on average (if you assume he only wins 50% of matches) for 50,000 hands of guaranteed heads up action at $200/$400 and up. That's 5% of a small blind per hand. When you compare this "Dwan tax" to the rake most of us muppets pay, it's completely insignificant.
